WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Wear whatever you are comfortable in!! Most people will wear leggings/cargos and T'shirts or vests. 

WHAT ABOUT FOOTWEAR?
Trainers that offer little grip are ideal. Some people will wear special dance trainers, others court trainers. Old trainers are great as the soles are nore worn and better for lateral movement and turning.

DO I NEED A PARTNER?
No, absolutley not.  Most people come on their own or with a friend but there is no partnering in the class.

AM I TOO OLD OR TOO UNFIT?
No - Everyone over the age of 16 is welcome regardless of their fitness levels. It is a low impact class and you can take it at your own pace,

WHAT IF I CAN'T DANCE?
You won't be the only person who thinks that about themself! The latin music inspires a natural rythmn. You will get better and better as the weeks go on and most people feel it gives them a new found confidence in their dancing ability.  If you still feel like you have no coordination, you won't be the only person going the wrong way!! It doesn't matter, no one cares, everyone is there for FUN!!!!

CAN I BRING MY HUSBAND/PARTNER?
Absolutely, the more the merrier.  In fact, bring a man with you and he can have his first class for free!

IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO BRING WITH ME?
Yes, water and a towel are a good idea as you will get hot. Keeping hydrated while exercising is ver important





WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Dress for the weather and in layers. Waterproofs are a good idea so are comfortable walking trousers.

WHAT ABOUT FOOTWEAR?
Walking boots or walking trainers are ideal but to start off with, normal trainers are also fine.  If you are looking to invest, a mid trainer with waterproofing such as Gore-tex is best.

I HAVE A BAD BACK/ KNEE / HIP, CAN I STILL DO IT?
The most likely answer is yes. I have various injuries and 2 burst discs in my back, I actually found Nordic Walking helped my back tremendously as it loosens it off.  I also have numerous clients who have come to me with injuries or following surgery etc. many of whom have been referred by their physio, oesteopath or chiropractor.  Walking, afterall, is the most natural exercise known to humans!  Contact me and we can discuss your injury or condition.

DO I HAVE TO SIGN UP TO A COURSE?
I generally teach people a 4 session technique course. Once they have been through this course they will receive a competance card which means that they can join any Nordic Walking UK class in the country.

BUT WHAT IF I DECIDE IT ISN'T FOR ME?
I offer everyone a FREE taster session so that they can "try before they buy".  Very few people who join in on the taster session decide that they don't want to learn more but you can walk away from the taster and say "thanks but no thanks" and no one will be offended!
